VUVUZELA FOR BAFANA BAFANA

VUVUZELA TIME: The City’s  MMC for Transport Rehana Moosajee (third from left) with JRA employees.

VUVUZELA FOR BAFANA BAFANA

Compiled by Nkosinathi Nhlapo and Nkosana Lekotjolo

“ UNITED we stand, divided we fall,” this is the message that was driven by the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) and nearby companies’ employees around the CBD area; when celebrating Vuvuzela Wednesday (9 June 2010), just two days before the opening 2010 Soccer World Cup match between South Africa and Mexico, hosted in the country. Everything came to a still as soccer lovers showed their support and confidence to the national team (Bafana Bafana), in down town for an hour or so at corner

Sauer and Jeppe Streets. Bafana Bafana will be led by a confident defender Aaron “Mbazo” Mokoena. The MMC of transport Rehana Moosajee was seen blowing her Vuvuzela; in her proudly South African colours. Beyond that the MMC seemed more impressed by the work that has been done to ensure that our roads are well prepared for the event and our visitors travel safely during the tournament and beyond. These roads will accommodate and ease the increasing traffic congestion mainly in the CBD areas.
